Amazon: How to Simplify Life

Amazon and the Amazon app are the tools that play a major role in keeping our household running.

The Subscribe and Save service has kept us in diapers and wipes for eight years. In recent years, we have added vitamins, air filters, dish detergent, toilet paper, fish food, coffee, supplements, snacks, and so much more to the rotation. It is easy to add and remove items and to delay and increase the frequency of shipments. Shipments arrive on the first of the month if not before, and the boxes are lots of fun for the kiddos.

The Amazon app allows me to quickly order items from my phone if I cannot find it in the store or if I am handling day to day life. My favorite example is that one of our daughter's needed a skirt for her scouting uniform. While monitoring our toddler in the bathtub, I was able to order the perfect skirt for a great price and have it delivered in time for her first official scouting meeting.

Some of the most interesting items we have ordered from Amazon include a toilet seat, Venus fly traps, ukeleles, and goat medicine.

But, warning, Amazon ordering can get out of hand quickly. To see how much you have spent on Amazon, follow the instructions here: http://hallshomestead.blogspot.com/2016/02/amazing-amazon-how-to-see-how-much-you.html
